12/07/2018
The Marcus Center for Performing Arts has unveiled plans to renovate its campus, which include a “great lawn” for community events, new seating in the Uihlein Hall theater space, an atrium and terrace on the Milwaukee River as well as a five-story outdoor projection wall, according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
The project will be kick off in the spring of 2019 and is projected to be completed over a period of three to five years. Milwaukee County has committed $10 million to support the project, however the overall costs are still being finalized.
The concept presents a more open and welcoming campus that will have the capacity to host more events and generate additional revenue.
