Moxy by Marriott to Open in Madison in 2021

North Central Group, a Middleton-based hotel management and development firm, expects groundbreaking on its new tech-inspired hotel — Moxy by Marriott — this autumn with plans to open the hotel in 2021 at 825 E. Washington Avenue in Madison.
According to the Wisconsin State Journal, the hotel is going to be focused on catering to millennials and technology, including the following amenities:
- Internet-enabled televisions that connect to Netflix and Hulu.
- Plenty of power outlets.
- Keyless entry.
- Motion-sensor lighting.
- High-speed Wi-Fi in each room.
- The ability to check in and out through smartphones.
- Large communal spaces — such as lounges and a bar — that are also outfitted with enough outlets for devices for hotel guests and the general public who want to work or otherwise get together.
The hotel is still in the planning phase, but will be stacked between six and nine stories tall with 156 rooms, and both on-site parking and off-site valet parking. The hotel will be within walking distance to The Sylvee, a Frank Productions’ music venue, as well as Breese Stevens Field, a multi-purpose stadium that hosts sports games, concerts and other events.
