The Village of Pleasant Prairie to Create Independent Tourism Bureau
11/26/2018
According to Milwaukee Business News, the Pleasant Prairie Convention and Visitors Bureau will launch in early January, officially separating from the Kenosha Area CVB.
Using the room tax from its hotel and motel rooms to pay for the new non-profit, the Pleasant Prairie Convention and Visitors Bureau will offer five hotels with a sixth on the way. A new four-story, 108-room Fairfield Inn and Suites will be built just north of the Pleasant Prairie Premium Outlets.
Village representatives stated that although the Kenosha Area CVB has done a great job over the years, the village was not receiving enough marketing support to maximize its visibility.
