09/19/2019
Strang Inc., the architecture and engineering firm that designed the plans for the original Alliant Energy Center over 25 years ago, recently presented its Phase 1 pre-design plans to the Alliant Energy Center redevelopment committee, according to WMTV.
The company also collected data about the desires and demands of various stakeholders, such as clients, event planners, staff, suppliers and more. Some recommendations include more of an open-concept floor plan, cohesion, green space and functionality.
Strang’s pre-design work also encompasses other components of Phase 1 mentioned in the master plan, including the establishment of a main plaza, storm water management practices, additional parking and a road around the campus.
