When you think of Green Bay, the Packers may be the first thing that come to mind. After all, the city does have quite a sports legacy and is getting set to host the 2025 NFL Draft. But you don’t have to be a football fanatic to appreciate what the area has to offer event planners, conference-goers and casual tourists.
The city’s newest upscale hotel offering — Legacy Hotel Trademark Collection by Wyndam — is located in the heart of Green Bay, just steps from the Resch Center and Expo, and just one block from iconic Lambeau Field.
“The hotel’s name was inspired by those who’ve gone before us, leaving their legacy in our Green Bay community,” explains Robin Orrell, director of sales & marketing at Legacy Hotel. “And we’ll continue to create new legacies inspired by our team members and guests.”
The all-suite hotel, which opened its doors in January 2024, offers 83 studio suites, 15 signature suites and three grand penthouse suites. With two full-service restaurants, an inviting lobby bar, a rooftop bar and an early morning coffee and juice cafe, there’s something to satisfy everyone’s appetite — whether you’re there for a conference, wedding, football game — or next year’s NFL Draft.
Of these, Heritage is the signature restaurant – open daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner, serving American cuisine with Bistro style dining, prepared by premier Chef Aaron Morse. Live music entertains guests here on weekend nights.
If you’re looking for a pre-dinner drink or more casual fare, Cardinal’s Crest rooftop bar serves small plates and signature cocktails.
Not hungry? That’s OK — it’s worth a rooftop visit just to see the magnificent view of Lambeau Field.
“We also offer event catering, with an extensive full-service banquet menu for all of our in-house groups and meetings — ranging from a light continental breakfast to a full five-course dinner — and everything in between,” says Orrell.
The meeting space at Legacy Hotel is designed to accommodate both social and corporate groups. The space is flexible with no pillars or obstructions, and meeting rooms can be set up to handle anything from an intimate 18-seat boardroom to a banquet room serving 200 guests — or even theater-style seating for 375. Premium Wi-Fi is offered throughout the hotel. And in your downtime, visit the hotel spa and fitness center.
Legacy is conveniently located just 15 minutes from the Green Bay Austin Straubel International Airport and 30 minutes from Appleton International Airport. “Once here, there’s no need for taxis or ride share services,” stresses Orrell, “which keeps down your expenses on extra transportation.” Located in Green Bay’s Stadium District, minutes from Titletown Attractions, guests are within walking distance to both the Resch Center and Lambeau Field and right in the middle of all the action.
In partnership with the Resch Center team, Legacy Hotel accommodates groups and entertainers with discounted group guestroom rates and special VIP entertainer luxury suites.
But Legacy Hotel is open to the entire community as well, striving to be an inviting epicenter of food, music and fun. “In addition to being a magnificent wedding and special events venue, our Atrium comes alive weekly on Thursday evenings with Music Under the Stars,” Orrell says. The event offers a wide array of musical genres, cocktails and appetizers to both hotel guests and the local community, and Orrell says there’s no better way to spend a relaxing evening with friends.“And if you’re planning ahead, Legacy Hotel is in contract with the NFL for the upcoming 2025 draft,” says Orrell. “Partnering with Discover Green Bay and our neighboring hotels, we’re fully committed to the success of this incredible event.”
Legacy Hotel is a moderately priced meeting and event facility — with a first-class menu and exceptional, attention-to-detail service — perfect for any event.
